Ok let's see - we have an image hosted on a profile that is 1 day old and asks you to visit a website with a strange url with a promise of a financial reward on an another website. How do you even imagine that would work? And now, of course, people start crying that their computers got infected with malware. Which is great - every genius who fell for this obvious phishing scam deserved it. I hope your shitty computer burns and you along with it.

Bronies go nuts, and Nintendo Sucks?Equestria Girls
The trailer to "Equestria Girls" (the humanized MLP spinoff film) finally was released today. Aaaannnd everyone's freaking out. Again.
You know, it actually looks pretty decent. Bronies... please understand: I know you're a major unexpected demographic for the show. I know you enjoy seeing shout-out's become canon within the show, and appreciate how the creators do little things here and there for you. But... the show isn't made for you. This is not Cartoon Network and the target demographic isn't 25 year olds in college. You're a nice addition to the target demographic of little girls, but you are not the driving force behind MLP.
I don't want this to sound mean, but it needs to be said. This is where it becomes very important to understand the fine line between being a fan of the show and thinking that because you've invested so much energy into the show that you're entitled to things.
I'm sure the movie won't be as bad as everyone makes it out to be. It honest

Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Dear members,

It’s been quiet around our little club and to fix that we have decided to host a contest.

Remember the lecture we posted on Character Design?

We as admins have concluded that in order to really help you develop as western mangakas, should put what you have learned to the test. Therefore this contest will be focused on Character Design!

The winner will be judged on the following 4 factors which makes a successful character design:
- Simplicity
- Memorability
- Fun factor
- Originality

We advice that if you haven’t read over the lecture, that you take time to go over the basics. This will not only refresh your memory and give you the necessary tools to take you closer to the first place in our contest- it’ll also make you a better character designer.

CONTEST GUIDELINES:

- The theme for the design will be Valentine’s Day.
- You must be a member of this group to enter.
- Your character can be anything your imagination comes up with. ANYTHING! There’s absolutely no boundaries for this.
- The character must be created specifically for this contest. You may not use nor refurbish any character created prior. We want to see something new from what you have learned.
- Your character design sheet will consist of front, back and side view. ¾ front and ¾ back view are a plus but not required.
- The artwork must be in a state of completion, meaning: Quality scan/ dpi resolution, linework is clean and colors have been used.
- The contest focuses on characters therefore backgrounds are not required. If you do add color to the background, make it so it doesn’t take our focus away from the character.
- Digital and traditional media are allowed.
- Submissions will be accepted from January 10th to Febuary 10th!
- Winners will be announced on Febuary 14th!

SUBMITION GUIDELINES:

- Please allow critique on your submission.
- Make sure you submit to our Character Design Folder otherwise it will not count as an entry.
- Specify this is for

Character Design Contest.
- Under Artist Statement: Give a short character description of no more than a paragraph of length. This will gives us an insight of who your character is and why you have chosen that design.
